Keith Lee Grant
Keith Lee Grant holds an MFA from the Yale School of Drama, a MA from the Pennsylvania State University, and a Certificate from the American Conservatory Theater's Advance Training Program. He has directed and/or choreographed over one hundred professional and university productions ranging from Shakespeare's AS YOU LIKE It to Miguel Pinero's SHORT EYES to large-scale Musicals like Sondheim's SWEENEY TODD, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, and Jerry Herman's MAME. He staged the premiere of two operas: THE PROMISE at the Germantown Performing Arts Center in Memphis, Tennessee and selected scenes from MARGARET GARNER at the Cincinnati Opera. Mr. Grant traveled to Hamilton, Bermuda in 2007 to direct and choreograph a highly successful production of DREAMGIRLS. He served at the Artistic Coordinator and Resident Choreographer for the Oregon Dance Theater from 1977 to 1979 and is currently the Founding Artistic Director of the Harlem Repertory Theatre.
Mr. Grant is currently a full professor in the Theatre Department at the City College Of New York in Harlem. He has also served on the performance faculties at Cornell University, The University of Connecticut, Dartmouth College, The University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the New School.
In addition to his work as a director/choreographer and college professor, Mr. Grant has also performed on Broadway in MARIE CHRISTINE, SHOW BOAT, and the U.S. premiere of the musical RAGTIME. He has worked Off-Broadway at Playwrights Horizons, the York Theater, the Jewish Repertory Theater, New Federal Theatre, AMAS Theatre, and The New York Theater Workshop. His Regional credits include The Connecticut Repertory Theater, Yale Repertory Theatre, Syracuse Stage, The Pioneer Memorial Theater, The Oregon Shakespeare Festival and The Indiana Repertory Theatre.
Mr. Grant is the recipient of the 2009 and 2012 AUDELCO awards for the Best Choreographer of a Musical and Best Director of a Musical for his work on the HRT's productions of THE WIZ and DREAMGIRLS.
Ms. Geneva’s first major performance was at the age of twelve in a production of MY FATHERS WILL at Aaron Davis Hall. From that moment, she knew that acting was her passion. Her production credits include Addapearle in, THE WIZ at the HRT , Laura Reed in TAMBOURINES TO GLORY, Consuela in WEST SIDE STORY and UNDERNEATH IT ALL with Get Write Entertainment. Ms. Geneva has done film work for The Los Angeles Art Institute, SiTV in Los Angeles, California and New Line Productions. She is also a playwright and director.
Mabel Gomez is a resident actress and the assistant choreographer for the Harlem Repertory Theatre Company. Being formally trained at the Alvin Ailey School of Dance, the City College of New York’s Theatre Department and the Revolucion Latina Beyond Series Workshops has enabled her to excel at her passion for the Arts as a performer and instructor. Ms. Gomez taught dance at The Children’s Aid Society and CUNY’s College Now Theatre program. As a member of the HRT for almost ten years, Ms. Gomez has performed in THE WIZ, CABARET, WEST SIDE STORY, ONCE ON THIS ISLAND, DREAMGIRLS, A CHORUS LINE, YOU’RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN, AIN'T MISBEHAVIN ,TAMBOURINES TO GLORY, HAIR, SWEET CHARITY and FLAHOOLEY (OFF BROADWAY). While obtaining her Undergraduate and Graduate degrees from CCNY, Ms. Gomez has managed to perform in several musical theatre productions. She is currently an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at The City College of New York.
Social Media Coordinator
Eric Myles is a Singer/Dancer/Actor born and raised in Bronx, NY. From his love of music and Michael Jackson, he has developed a love of the performing arts and entertainment. Eric first began exploring his talents in elementary school and has continued to study and develop through his work with the Harlem Repertory Theatre and other professional and non-professional companies. Mr. Myles has choreographed works at the Take One Dance Ensemble here in NYC and for companies throughout the country.
In addition to his dancing credits, Eric is a trained singer and a Lyricist, Poet and Playwright. He is inspired by music, art, theatre and his faith. Some of his recent performances include, The Scarecrow’s in THE WIZ as well as featured roles in BYE, BYE, BIRDIE, FLAHOOLEY and DREAMGIRLS with the Harlem Repertory Theatre. Eric’s future goals include opening a performance development company and being his own Artist turned mogul.
